The Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, Kees Klompenhouwer, recently visited the Moravian-Silesian Region, and he took a particular interest in the activities of the MSIC. He was keen to find out more about innovation in the Region – which also represents a source of potential for Dutch companies. Mr Klompenhouwer met MSIC Director Pavel Csank to discuss key issues related to innovation. Although the Region’s industrial roots are very different from the traditional Dutch focus on trade and finance, there are certain areas that offer strong potential for future cooperation. Mr Klompenhouwer expressed the opinion that Czech and Dutch innovators share a highly distinctive approach to problem-solving, and he said he was confident that our “mutual curiosity” will be inspirational and beneficial to both countries.
